756 new COVID-19 cases, 78 more deaths

The Health Department reported 756 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa. A total of 78 more people have died, taking the death toll to 52,788. The department says 251,707 healthcare workers are vaccinated.

Meanwhile, SA will remain on Alert Level 1 Lockdown during the Easter weekend. Some restrictions have stayed the same, while some have changed. The curfew will remain as is, while beaches, parks and dams will remain open.

The sale of alcohol for off-site consumption will be prohibited from Friday to Sunday. President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on Tuesday.
